As a dedicated consumer trust, we’re aiming to bring positive change to the electricity distribution industry, and ultimately benefiting people like you.

Established in 1992, LineTrust South Canterbury holds a 40% shareholding in Alpine Energy Limited, responsible for electricity lines and distribution in the South Canterbury region.

Scholarships for a sustainable future

We are dedicated to fostering the potential of future innovators and individuals interested in the electricity industry. Our scholarships are designed to support students who dream of making a difference in the electricity distribution sector, shaping a brighter and sustainable future for all.

Empowering Your Career:

Through our scholarship fund, we offer financial support to students studying computer science, mathematics, data analytics, electronic or electrical engineering, sustainability, and Master of Science, or similar disciplines, with an emphasis on competencies involving cognitive science, business intelligence and/or artificial intelligence.

How It Works:

Scholarship Amount: Up to $5,000 towards your degree. Eligibility Criteria: Study in designated fields, intent to contribute to the future of renewable energy, and fulfil either residing in South Canterbury or completed secondary school in the South Canterbury region.

As a scholarship recipient, you will not only receive financial assistance but also the encouragement and support to pursue your passion and academic goals

Successful candidates may also be offered university semester work, and potential postgraduate work placements with Alpine Energy to facilitate successful career placements within the energy sector.
